Response to feedback

After reading the very useful feedback we were given after showing the class the rough cut, it came to our attention that we needed to make our title shot seem a little more interesting, so we made it shorter and applied a transition. Other wise the feedback was mostly good and we seemed to have received a good response.

Changes

We have decided not to include the scene where the girl hangs herself, mainly because
it was too difficult to find a way of doing it.

We tried to make it look like she was being hung by just havin a shot of her feet hanging as she sat down. This, however didn't work very well because it was too obvious that the main character was sitting down and not being hung.

Props and settings

we will have 6.15 flash at the end of our opening sequence.
the chair will be kicked away from her feet to represent her killing herself.

Sophie running home..lots of close ups of her feet.

Sophie will write the suicide note on the notepad using a pen and when she signs it we will see her tears fall on the piece of paper and see her make up all smudged.

Planning (latest)

We decided not to rewind our footage at the end because it was too commanly seen in thrilers and we wanted to make our thriller as unique as possible.

We came up with some abstract ideas to make our opening sequence more confusing. We put the camera in the bag with it switched on to see if we caught any abstarct and confusing footage. It turned out very well and we are pleased with it.

We are still in the process of figuring out how to hang Sophie...

We are also in the process of improving the soundtrack to keep the audience's attention and not get bored with the same music.
